The Gypsies

Gypsy Tales originated out of my love for adventure.

In December 2009, my husband and I will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary.

Marriage means different things for different people.

I think of marriage like a crucible.

Three definitions for the word crucible are:

  1. a container made of a substance that can resist great heat
  2. a situation of severe trial
  3. or in which different elements interact to produce something new

Marriages go through seasons and quite possibly could experience any one of the above three definitions at any given time.

As much as I love adventure, I love being married too!  We were pondering our marriage promises the other day, you know the ones that say, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health….Mmmm….we’ve had time to test them all – been there – done that – got the t-shirt.

Life began for me when I got married.  The last 15 years with my husband have been the most fulfilling and rewarding years of my life.

So now it’s time to take this marriage to the next level….and going with Crucible definition number 1 & 3, it’s time to notch up the heat a bit – add a couple of different elements – allow them to interact and produce something new.

We’ve sold our house, our cars, our clothes, our furniture and all the other worldly possessions you collect along the way to follow our dreams….so that my husband can do what he truly loves and that is taking photos and in the process I get to do what I truly love…travelling with him 🙂
