NANAGA Farm Stall – Eastern Cape

Nanaga Farm Stall

The best part about travelling by road is you get to visit the quaint road side stalls along the way.  Nanaga Farm Stall, 10km outside Colchester in the Eastern Cape is no exception.  Arriving just in time for lunch, the hardest part was deciding what to eat.

The clouds had hung low the whole way from East London and the cold was creeping in somewhat.  So a hot meal was necessary to build up stamina for the remainder of the journey.  Lamb knuckles, samp and beans sounded like the perfect “stick to your ribs” kind of food.

Nanaga is also well-known for their scrumptious pies.  Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!  O well, who said you can only have one pie each?  Fortunately we were making our selections after we had eaten at the restaurant or can you imagine what we might have purchased had we been shopping on an empty stomach?
