We Begin to Say Goodbye…

our home for the last 3 1/2 months

Memories are fragile without photographs to remind us.  With just days to go before we leave Ollantaytambo goodbyes are imminent.  We spent a memorable afternoon with Esther and Antonio.

With Latino flair he influenced his pots and pans, sauces and spices and produced a gastronomic delight.

marvellous taste sensation

Our hair has grown substantially on this trip.  After lunch Antonio braided a strand of beads into our hair.

Barry was up first

all done

nothing better than sitting in the afternoon sun and someone playing with my hair

having fun 🙂

Goodbyes are inevitable…nothing lasts forever.  We have met wonderful people…these experiences have been tattooed into the flesh of our hearts.

  1. I love the braids in your hair ,it must be sad to have to say goodbye to all the friends you have made, but you can always visit again and always remember no one can take your memories away.
Will see you soon lots of love Mom xxxxxxxx Please reply then i know you have received my comment.

  2. Seems like yesterday we were saying goodbye – have a safe trip back!

  3. I have just commented on Barry’s last blog – check it out. Can’t wait for you guys to get back (not “get home” mind – I think the planet is now your home!!)

  4. Thank goodness for Barry’s photographs and your verse so I can keep you close. Ollanta isn’t going to be the same without you two. I’m certain that every time I go I will wish you were just up the street so I could pop in for a cup of tea and a visit.
