Goodnight Tucuman

We were hoping to be at the bus terminus early the following morning to catch the first bus to Tafi del Valle; our next leg on the journey.  Setting off with an appetite we arrived at the little restaurant where we ate the night before.  But if you remember we arrived at this restaurant at 12:20 am.  Arriving at 20h00 we were surprised to discover they only open at 20h30.

The temperature was around 30 degrees and with it only getting dark around 20h30 the streets were packed with families, walking their dogs, pushing prams, eating ice creams and going to mass at the Catholic church.

We spent the next half an hour capturing evening scenes in Tucuman.  So much for an early night, we finally got into bed after midnight; a very normal bedtime for Argentina.

  1. I see in Wikipedia that San Miguel de Tucumán has a mall. O.K. I could rough it there!
